I Neglected Valentine for YEARS...

I neglected Valentine for Years...

How crazy it seemed when I thought of the concept of Valentine... "How insanely stupid that a specific day would be kept aside to celebrate Love" I thought.

I wondered why almost the entire youth population got lost in the mirage and illusion of Love as if it made any positive meaning in their lives...

Yeah, I know what you are thinking. Many I shared this opinion with, expressed the same thought, which is, I sounded like someone who hasn't experience Love or someone who didn't believe in Love.

Truly, I really don't blame you...

In later years, after graduating as an Engineering professional, I came to a realisation that as a weak magnet is strengthened by a much stronger one so is ones Love strengthened by the strength of believe exercised on Valentine's day and with the huge love packages that comes with it...

Today is made powerful and alive by the believe of those majority I once criticized. The best way to understand this is to wholeheartedly key into the celebrations.

The collective believe of today as a day of Love has made today, the 14th of February, a day, which offers the chance for all broken hearts and failed relationships to be amended and rejuvenated by the awesomeness magnetic force exerted by Valentine's day...

Today, I'm taking the Love of my life to a joyous and beautiful Valentine ride. "A dark, blossoming, outspoken, and  fully endowed intellectual of a Girl Friend... with an assurance that every roughness that might have greased our relationship would be smoothen out..

1.) He/she discusses his/her future with you.

If you are dating a guy and there is no plan as in the next line of action for that relationship, you need to find out if this person truly loves you because he/she maybe planning their future with someone else while wasting your precious time.

Never go into a relationship without defining it. You should be able to have a fair idea of what the future holds for the relationship.

All relationships will not end in marriage for sure, but why block prospective future partners with someone who is not considering you in their future plan? For me that's crazy. Have a plan, things may happen that may change the plan but it will be on record that you had one. Ask him/her what are we hoping to achieve in this relationship?

I bet you if this person truly loves you as they claim, they will let you into their future plans for both of you.



2. He/she is interested in your goals and dreams not just fantasies.

When someone truly loves you, another thing you will discover is that he/she will be interested in your dreams and goals. They will ask 'how far with this or that, that you said you wanted to do,' they will want to know that you are making progress.

They will want to be interested, if possible help you with ideas or suggestions that might be of help to you. Even if the person can not help you out-rightly, you will feel the urge in their voice which suggests that if they had the opportunity, they would have done more. But when all that he/she wants to know is how much that came in and when the next outing is taking place, you need to be careful. Sorry to say that majority of ladies are guilty of this, they are only interested in the guy as long as there is money to spend, they don't want to know what the projects and prospects of the guy are, there own is now now.
